How Did You Tell Your Hubby You Were Prego??
So lots of fun things are going on in our life! Sorry I have been slacking off in the recipe world but I will be getting back to it soon! I can't think of creative things to make with all this excitement built up inside me right now. Here is the list of awesomensess:
-Buying a new BIGGER home.
-Trying to get prego.
-Buying a new BIGGER dog.
K does it get any better or nerve-racking then this list?! All HUGE responsibilities but, all so stinkin much fun.
As for the new BIGGER home. It will be a remodel project but it’s gonna be our home for life we just know it. I will keep ya'll updated on the before and after remodel pics.
As for the babba... well I mean it's a work in progress but it sure has my head turning. This is my question of the day....
How did you tell your hubby you were PREGO??
I am just dying to know! This is defiantly something I want to do in a VERY creative way. It's gonna be so extremely hard for me because I am the worst at keeping secrets. I mean you will without a doubt know what your Birthday present is BEFORE your Birthday with me around. I just can't help it!
Here is a list of ways I have been considering:
- Filling up his car with pink and blue balloons and leaving the positive prego test on the driver seat. (I just don't know how I feel about this one because I really want to see his reaction).
- Having KJ give him a card that tells him in some clever way. (Any ideas on what it could say)?
- Leaving the pregnancy test on his pillow right by his head so it is the first thing he sees when he wakes up that morning.
- Make a spaghetti dinner and leave the can of Prego sauce on the kitchen table and write we’re on it so it reads “We’re Prego".
- Go to Millcreek where he asked me to marry him and reenact the engagement but ask him to be a great daddy to baby number 2. (Not sure exactly what I would say?)
- Make KJ write on a shirt (he has this really silly shirt with Dylan’s (hubby) face on it wearing weird sunglasses with umbrellas on them) KJ would write on the front with permanent marker that would read "Your the best dad" and on the back it would read " And I'm gonna be a GREAT big brother" and have him hand him a present with the positive pregnancy test inside.
Do you like any of these?? What is your vote? Have any better ideas??
Oh ya and as for the dog we are gonna adopt a lab YAY!
Thank you SOOO much for your help you guys!

ReplyDeleteI love the idea of filling up his car, but if you don't want to miss it, video tape it from the side of the house or a window, that way you can always cherish the moment and you won't miss his face! <3
ReplyDeleteGreat idea about the camera miss cuteness thank you for the idea!
DeleteI always get my hubby little gifts here and there, so I told him that I had a little something for him. I went to the store and had gotten a newborn boy onsie, and a newborn girl onsie -each saying daddy's girl, or tough like daddy, and placed all the positive tests in the box & wrapped it up. it actually took him awhile to figure out that I was pregnant...but his reaction was priceless! Good luck lady!

DeleteMy husband told ME I was pregnant! We had been trying for over a year, 17-18 months..with the help of some infertility medications our dream finally came true! I took a test, not honestly thinking it was going to be positive, I put it on our bathroom sink and HE checked it and told me "oh my god it's positive!" and I continuously said "shut up, omg, shut up, are you serious?" I sounded like cd on repeat. But it was really amazing to see HIS face as he came out of the bathroom. ;)
ReplyDeleteLove your blog and updates! I look forward to many many more :D

DeleteHey girl - First off, I am SO excited for your huge, exciting life events! Congrats!
ReplyDeleteI think the shirt idea is cute and fun! You could also make dinner all week with preggo sauce in different ways. Then when the big dinner comes with KJ and his awesome t-shirt you can say - "We've been preggo all week!" LOL I'll ask around & put some more ideas in that cute head of yours. :) XOXOXO
Oh my miss pretty nicole! Yay thanks for the comment and fab idea :) that's a super
DeleteCute idea and then I could post all those recipe
On the blog too ha ha
Your the best!
All of your ideas are sweet!
ReplyDeleteWhen I found out I was preggers with Maile, Husband had JUST LEFT for a month-long hitch on a drilling rig in Alaska. There was no way I could wait a month to tell him, so I ended up waiting about a week, and then telling him on the phone. Hoping to be able to do something fun for our second!
A week is still so so so long to wait to tell him!! I'm proud of ya ha ha. Second times the charm right?
DeleteI'm a bit crazy so I would do the car and the balloons thing. I wrapped my son's dad's car in plastic wrap one year for his birthday, so I am all about making something a public event. ha! Sounds like fun though just figuring out what to do. :-)
ReplyDeleteHa ha that's awesome! Ya it is fun I can't wait :)
DeleteLOVE the idea with the "big brother" shirt....I think that is just adorable!!!!! Saw a pic of someone do this on facebook, it was just the sweetest thing ever!!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog & following- returning the favor!
ReplyDeleteHey Ash,
ReplyDeleteI am so excited for you! SO much to do and plan... can't wait to see you glow with a baby bump.
I love the idea of the "big bro" tee, be sure to have a camera ready.
I wish I would have taken the time to be tactful, however, the excitement was just too overwhelming for me ;) The most memorable moment for me was when they told us we were having a girl. My husband was literally speechless. He smiled and said nothing. On our way down in the elevator, he said "OMG, We're having a girl..." he looked at our son and said "we will have our hands full". She is now 2.5 yrs old and she has her daddy wrapped around her little finger.
I love the idea of using a Prego jar. I have always thought about telling my husband by sending him a card in the mail, you know one of those congratulations on your expecting. I think the look of confusion then revelation would be awesome.
ReplyDeleteSo Sweet! Good luck with all the exciting things going on in your life! Thanks for visiting my blog. I am so glad you did so I can find yours!
